FTA: “I have directed our health department to let the federal government know that sending government employees or agents door-to-door to compel vaccination would not be an effective or a welcome strategy in Missouri,” Parson said in a tweet Wednesday night.
The Feds are already in Springfield, and I don't see how telling the health department to tell Feds they aren't welcome is going to accomplish anything constructive. Actually, it sounds to me like Parson passed the buck, and as a Missouri resident (born and raised), I'm very disappointed in him.
The appropriate response is: "As Governor if this state... Missouri WILL NOT allow Federal Government employees to go door-to-door administering vaccinations or coercing people into getting them. Those who choose to do so illegally will be subject to state criminal prosecution.
