Hitler united the "ethnic Germans" (racist phraseology) around anti-Semitism. You tip your admiring hand too readily, avoid denying it, and make a ridiculous double-down.
You mean unite all Germans, ethnic and non-ethnic alike? The Jews were not Germans? It was a good thing to annex Austria, the Sudetenland, and west Poland? There was some question about annexation of South Tyrol...would they have been non-ethnic Germans or Italians?
Absolutely no diversity in the SS. First, the ethnic standards were severe. Second, it didn't make any difference what bodies were enlisted; all the minds were identically enthralled by Ayran hatred of Jews, and Aryan paganism. (Some say including human sacrifice. It's so good to be wanted.) The Romans have a better claim to diversity of fighting forces.
As for people being fooled into thinking a certain way, you are far ahead of the Deep State. Your problem is that you WANT to believe in the righteousness of the Nazi Reich. You need to sit down in front of a full-length mirror and ponder what you are.
