Absolutely. But that means removing the cost for medical school and drastically curbing how medical malpractice works, because it does cost a fortune to be a doctor in the US.
When you get down to it, ALL colleges need to be more affordable.
Medical malpractice fees would probably go down if, instead of covering for those bad doctors, they actually pulled their licenses -- permanently. I'm sure a lot of this gets swept under the carpet. And, on the other side of the coin, there are probably a lot of people crying wolf on the doctors just to get some money. There should be reasonable limits to how much money they get, but only if they truly deserve it.
