Great I need a lot of it and am not quite at 100 percent. But all the corrective work I pay for now is all the shitty dental work the navy did. I had one filling when I joined. Dentist wants to rebuild my mouth as the 9 teeth the navy worked on all cracked to the roots.
Ah the VA one of the most mismanaged, poorly organized, poorly ran, and incompetent agencies in the Government. And that’s saying something given the other morons that exist in the Federal Government.
Yeah I mean trump made them a bit more responsive for awhile but they used covid to do zip for us. Mental health was a train wreck and I had to seek out a private group to get help. Then all they want is to drug u.
If you’re willing to chop up your private parts because you think you’re really another gender, you already are 100% disabled. Free dental work after all.
I've been fighting the VA to get what I rightfully deserve for over 10 yrs. This is why I now advise any young people who ask me, to stay away from the military. ESPECIALLY while a Dem or RINO is POTUS. And if they insist on signing up, I advise them to stay away from the combat specialties, or anything having to do with lifting heavy amounts of weight.
I have PTSD, Anxiety, anxiety induced depression, chronic pain in most all my joints, tinnitus, chronic migraines, Occipital Neuralgia, Sciatica, Osteo Arthritis from fused L5-S1 vertebrae WITH hardware, and calcified scar tissue as a side affect from the fusion at L5-S1, Disk Degenerative Disease, and Spondylosis throughout my spine from bottom to top. All of that, and I'm only rated @ 60% disability because I've had shit doctors. ALL of this is verifiable from either my service time, or as a result of the fusion surgery. The VA themselves diagnosed me with the mental health issues, Occipital Neuralgia, tinnitus, and Osteo Arthritis, but they REFUSE to rate any of it.
I love in Volusia County, FL. We have one of the highest per Capita concentrations of Veterans of any State in the Union. The wait times for appointments is ~ 8-10 mths, NATIONALLY. We do have the Veteran's Choice Program to go find a "civilian" Dr, bit here's the rub: you have to have VA Dr approval first. So, what happ ns when you can't even get an appointment to see your V.A. PCP Dr to get approval? You fucking wait...and wait...and wait some more until you finally get an appt. If your Dr denies it, you can appeal, but the appeal wait times are outrageously long, too. And now with COVID, the wait times are even longer.
Oh, and forget about raising your voice out of frustration. The V.A. has its own police force that is there to keep us in check. If you get too loud, they escort you to your vehicle and follow you off property. This has happened to me more than once. I even had an office bitch call them and tell them I was threatening when I wasn't. They force cancelled my appt, which forced me to make a new one. This happened right before COVID. The V.A. literally shut down for months. I haven't been able to get in to see my Dr since, because that Dr left the V.A. and they issued me a new one.
And guess what? Everytime you get a new Dr, which is frequently (I've had 7 different Drs over the last 17 yrs), they want to start over again at the beginning of a treatment program, like they don't believe the other Drs you've had, don't believe you when you tell them what works and what doesn't, and want to try the exact same things all the other Drs wanted. Talk about insane?! Some of these shit ass Drs wouldn't even be "practicing" medicine if it wasn't for the V.A., they're that bad.
When a rating is done, you would think that it would be a panel of Drs and Nurses only. But it isn't. At least one position on that panel will be occupied by a Dr, but the other 4, including the panel's leader, can and most likely will be occupied by non medical VA staff. Anywhere from the maintenance people, to janitors, schedulers, secretaries, etc.
And people wonder why Veterans are so pissed and ornery all the time? I could go on for hours about how the VA sucks shit. The "service orgs" like VFW, American Legion, DAV aren't any better. Most require you pay dues before they'll help you get what's rightfully yours. Not having dental covered is the least of me problems.
If it wasn't for my hustle, my 2nd oldest son (who works full time AND goes to college full time and is only 22), my parents, and me best friend, we'd be just another fucking sad statistic. Oh, and I'm a single FULL TIME Dad, too. Yeah, the ex left and wouldn't come back during the lowest point in my life, leaving me with the kids. If it wasn't for the awesome support network I have, including my best friend/sister from another mister, I would've "ate" a .45 bullet yrs ago.
So yeah, the fucking VA can eat the corn from my shit, they're so bad. If it was managed by DOD and not its own "independent" Fed Agency, like it was after WWII, it would probably be better, but not by much.
But hey, I'm still on me feet, refuse to become one of the "22 Vets pre day," have awesome children and a bestie that I would scorch the Earth for if she asked me to, so I am still eternally grateful to God for blessing me with such awesome people in my life. They are the one's that keep me going and keep my spirits up. Plus, I have y'all.
I will keep fighting til I die because that's what I do.

Biden and his criminal flunkies don’t care about America.
Lemme tell you something: th ONLY POTUS who truly cares/cared about us is Donald J. Trump. And even he couldn't fix the V.A., it's that fucked up.
All veteran dental, vision and health care must be covered-no ifs, ands, or buts.

OUTRAGEOUS! Cover the mental health needs first then make sure veterans get what they signed up for.
