At 41:01 in his CPAC speech tonight, Trump starts talking about Bill Barr and questioning his lack of interest in election fraud.
At 43:06 Trump says he has a statement from US ATTORNEY in PA saying Bill Barr would not allow him to investigate fraud.
He goes on to say nobody else has seen this yet. Specifically asks Devin Nunes and Matt Gaetz if they have it yet. He directs them to talk to PA US Attorney and find out what is in letter.
Barr also appointed Durham as a special prosecutor before he left office specifically so when he was fired in his position he could keep investigating. The lines between reality and the movie are very blurred. It's hard to understand what is real and what is part of the show.
Sessions actually appointed Durham, but Barr expanded his authority.
He was appointed by Barr in April of 2019. Five months after Sessions left office. Durham has been fired from his normal position after January 20th. He's now a special prosecutor only. Made so by Barr right after the election on November 3rd. Sessions was out right after the 2018 midterm. Two whole years before Durham was appointed special prosecutor.
It appears you are correct. Sessions appointed Durham as a federal attorney, but he was later appointed as SC by Barr. One source I saw even claims that Whittaker nominated Durham for SC, and then Barr finalized it. Looks like a good bit of smoke surrounding his SC appointment from what I can see.
Either way, I suspect Durham is swamp trash. I don't expect anything of great significance to come out of his SC. So in my opinion, it would seem fitting that he was appointed as SC by his fellow swamp trash, Barr.
If Durham was swamp trash, I suspect he would just fold up the entire investigation, and it would go away. If Biden is in charge, then there isn't anyone that would stop him. The Media would certainly have his back. No, just like everything else, it's being delayed so everything else can catch up. It has to be a Perfect Storm.
