Liberal friend, who is waking up, asked why the TX state senators, hopped on a plane and headed to DC to avoid debating on the voter integrity bill in Texas. She actually read the bill ( which is a change, rather than reiterating media statement), said she saw their new bill as a positive to protect the rights of legal voters. She doesn't see an issue with ID's and laughed at Heels Up Harris comments on Kinkos. I used this opportunity to explain DC is NOT a state, therefore it was the only place they could go because TX law would have the state police bring them back. They have to stay away until Aug 7th, who is paying for the hotel stays, food etc. She is now pissed at the waste of these lawmakers and using taxpayer funds to avoid a discussion and their job. I also gave her a few new " alternative media" who have boots on the ground to help her continue to ask questions.
