Far too many people have the "oh you think you know better than a doctor? He's a professional!"
It's like, "Have you ever disagreed with a mechanic? Electrician? Plumber? Sure you have, but a doctor? No, they're omniscient. Hell, people will get an opinion from a doctor, go to another doctor for a second opinion and the second guy thinks the first guy was out of his mind." People are dumb and seek comfort.
