I believe its the birth pill that did it. It made women put on weight they can't get rid of, made them more dissatisfied, unhappy and unreasonable.

It released a lot of oestrogen into our drinking water to feminise men, it also promoted VD which made the Wellcome Trust very rich, they had the cures for the galloping knob rot.
