It really beggars belief how stupid some of these pronouncements are. What's even more stunning is some smooth brains will still think this is just politics as usual. I think you're right. Censoring texts is impractical at best. If it was implemented the whack-a-mole info suppression game would move to a new level. Imagine the opportunity for a sole carrier to say they won't censor text messages like pre 7/13/21.
