This is definitely part of the motivation to take over parts of the open source community and Linux, github etc.
They want to control it all have you run nothing and only on a subscription model as well. It'll be like cell service, but for computers. Essentially thin clients everywhere, all devices.
This is not new they’ve been doing this for years. That’s what windows 365 is. And always has been. I don’t know why they’re trying to rebrand something that’s already the same thing they’ve been doing all this time. They think we’re stupid
The goal is to eliminate PC's. Everyone will have a personal portable keyboard (leased, of course) and everything done on the internet, banking, social media will be monitored and judged acceptable or not acceptable. Penalties will follow.
Imagine a society where nobody had computers, much less on their phones.
It was less than 30 years ago. I know, I lived it.
It was a much better world, and most people actually respected each other.
No tech is better than enslaving tech.
I hope young folks can "handle" it.
Bwahahahahaha!
Actually, many of us knew it and were fighting it way back then.
In those days we referred to it as the Left/Right paradigm.
The illusion that people had a choice, when in reality, they were just different wings on the same bird.

“Or else”
Yeah. Good thing they aren’t monitoring our social media and banking now. 🙄
Good luck with making that work here. Some parts have Internet speeds lower than 1 Mbps.
Neat! Can I pay a monthly subscription fee too?

Problem was... you were enslaved and had no means of really investigating it...
