They needed an out for whatever reason. The one they chose looks bad, for the reasons above.
I wonder if #3 could be something like poor ticket sales for shows outside the first. Saving face, so to speak.
As much as I dislike admitting it, Foo Fighters shows sell out quickly from my observations. I had nothing against them until this vax nonsense recently came out.
#2 wouldn’t have prevented it
Sure, if it's either #1 or #2, they could be telling the truth about their reason for cancelling.
However, if it's #2, rather hypocritical that they require attendees to be vaxxed, but, not employees. Rules for thee, not for me.
