My dad, who works in HR
My brother, who had to get it for his job
And my boomer grandparents living in NY

What do YOU want to do fren? Evidently you have some reasons for hesitating. What are they? Do they hold up under scrutiny? What price are you prepared to pay for those convictions? I don't envy you one little bit - it's easy to hold to a position when the cost of doing so is cheap, not so much when the price is something highly valued and the consequences are real and immediate.
My advice would be to take the question to the Lord - ask him to guide you in a way that you can understand, and for the way he has made for you to become clear before you. I'll be praying for you, and for his peace to enter and guard your heart.
