My entire life I’ve been a weather channel nerd, admittedly. Growing up in the Deep South we always had to be on the lookout for bad weather/tornadoes and the effects of hurricanes during hurricane season.
I’ve seen with my own eyes the evolution (or devolution) of TWC. In the 90’s you could check the forecast and be pretty reliant on it. It was about weather and not much else.
Today? The forecasts are shit, they constantly evolve so you’re never really sure what the weather is going to do. Beyond that it’s constant fear mongering and propaganda when a storm comes through. Strangely enough, it seems like when there is actually a terrible storm, they really don’t give too much credence to it. And if it’s storming on Sunday, welp too bad you won’t get up to date information on it—they will be playing reruns of storm stories.
Add to that the incessant climate change fear porn on the website with msnbc news or whoever the entity that owns it now, “news” totally unrelated to weather.... yeah it’s gone to crap. Sad, sad.

Yes. I feel bad for the old guy who had to watch his creation (WC) go to the dogs too.
