I spent time searching threads until I found out how to do some things, but it's not easy to find info on this stuff. I kind of wish there was a page on the sidebar about it.
If you search for "reddit markdown syntax" there are some more examples, not all of them work though. Other ones, put a hash and then a space at the start of a line to get large text,

Put underscores around something to get italic, bold, color,
one underscore
two underscores
three underscores
Four does the same thing as one, it just loops back.
Edit: looks like hash marks around something don't work now and two and three underscores do the same thing, used to be bold and lighter green for three?
and you can use three dashes to make a horizontal line like so:

How do you quote something? Like with the big red double apostrophes?
