For now, I am privileged to live in an area where our elected officials are trying (very sensibly, I think) to make Naturopathic Medical providers more readily accessible, by law. I have no idea if insurance will offer any coverage but our local "traditional western medicine" providers have become terribly corrupt and focused (primarily) on profits and the expansion of their own influence.
I am a capitalist and I believe in making money. I also believe, however, that Medicine and Spiritual Ministry are two of the fields that should NEVER be primarily focused on money making. I'm one of those old-fashioned people that believes financial rewards should result from EXCELLENCE in the practice of our enterprise - NOT because of political protections. Perhaps more competition can encourage excellence in practice. We shall see.
