Otto Muck has a book that says the Azores are the high peaks of Atlantis-an asteroid came blowing into North America and shattered/struck off the Carolinas; shifted the crust and caused a ring volcano that emptied millions of tons of sea water and volcanic ash into the atmosphere that came back to earth in the Mediterranean sea.
