For one I don’t worship Lincoln, I applaud his resolve and ability to rise to one of the darkest hours in our history and preserve this country from being permanently ripped at the seam. The meeting at the Appomattox court house is one of the most honorable meetings in our countries history. My argument is not in the dispute of his statements and them being mildly racist, it is the disingenuous presentation that his motives were evil and racist and that’s all it was about.
