Whenever my son is about to do something he is hesitant, or first time, or worried, I always tell him "Dont forget to take a deep breath before, and always listen to your instincts"
We have been systematically taught to suppress our instincts and listen to experts. Instincts are a tremendous part of our brain - where it takes every experience you have had, every value you hold, every fear you have and combines them all in a split second to tell you whether something is good or bad. This is our soul talking. We ignore it at our own peril
I think righteous people have good instinct and discernment. People whose integrity is compromised don't, which is possibly why its so hard to get through to so many. The more people get into wrong things, the more muted their conscience becomes (reprobate minds). All seems to be connected, as far as I can tell. Usually when I have doubts its a sign I'm not meant to do something. Souls guided by God can see deception, those that aren't get taken in.
