Is it possible the "vaccines" are primers to allow for human augmentation by disabling portions of the immune system in order to inhibit the foreign body immune response?

Alternatively, it could be Ambrosia.

If Covid is the Gray Death, then are the "vaccines" Ambrosia?

Yep the intro cutscene has them discussing how they deliberately infected the President to get one of the villains appointed to be head of FEMA.
