I say dont let his narration style get in the way.

WAtch w/o sound and imagine how the scenario would play out if it were real...then compare that to what you see on the screen.....

His narration aside take a look at the blood belt prop he shows at the beginning and the belt around her waist as she is being taken away on Gurney..

I suspect that the prop malfunctioned and that is why there is so little blood, they only had blood that came from the capsules.

This is one of my fav shots, the police is literally stopping the blood with a wet nap , and you see that the only blood is on one finger, mouth drippings... his gloves are otherwise pristine while the pic on the right CLEARLY shows no blood or damage to clothes
