So I've heard (re: 15 computers). Honestly I believe the knowledge of mechanics, how cars work and how to fix them is a priceless talent to have - you are not beholden to anyone to keep you going, and that's a wonderful thing. I am so grateful that my husband is skilled like that, all we need to worry about is how much parts cost. You're right, though - people do tend to suck. I know plenty of them who think my husband is the freaking Unicef mechanic, they want everything for free. A few have stiffed him in the past, and then they have the nerve to come back and ask for more work done on their cars! He tells them to go find a mechanic who works for free then.
Im lucky that i spent my time becoming one of the best in my area. I am in high demand.everybody wants me in thier shops. I wont let anybody "hire" me. I am a free agent. Ill come to your shop for a day but your gonna pay me what i want and im gonna show up and leave whenever i want. Im gonna go to my car and smoke copius amounts of pot throughout the day. But i get shit done quick.done right. And if you didnt see me taking it apart, youd never know i had it apart. I make sure it looks like it was never touched since it left the factory.
When the economy totally crashes.i know im gonna be ok.
