Well I’m from Tennessee and any place I purchase a firearm is registered with the background check, afaik. And outside a private sale or gun show, non dealer, i have to have a background check. At that moment the gun sold is placed in my name and information. It’s why people pay a fair amount more for private sales, so as long as the seller is good with no info.
