Mostly the same reasons that have been linked to here.....

Rushing it through kept it "experimentally approved"
Prevented further lockdowns which would have killed more people
Forced the DS to reveal their hypocrisy: telling the people not to get the "trump vaccine" and then pushing for everyone to get it immediately after Biden was in.

Rushing it meant they didn't have the time they thought they'd have to build public agreement via long standing lockdowns or whatever else they were going to try.

Rushing it forced their hand without giving them ample time to create a much more devastating vaccine weapon.
Perhaps the calculation was made that by denying time for debate only the sharpest of us would refuse the vaccine, tipping the statistics of survival toward the rebellious conservatives.
