There are different types of people. The goal is to get results - some respond best to a slap in the face. This guy seems like the type that might respond to this - but maybe not.

Also, I used my work email, so Iā€™m walking a fine line.

Yeah, definitely better from a work email, but it's been my experience many like him only respond when someone actually awakens them. They are so used to marshmallows and unicorns they don't realize that there are grizzly bears and wolves in the woods. A good wake up call is essential for them.
