I lived thru Katrina - it was something else We lost lots oak trees but the Quarter and most the city proper survived just fine. If you ever get to visit, I think you'll still enjoy it.

I have no doubt - I'll make it down there one day. I was planning to make it a stop on our way driving to the NRA conference in Houston, TX, but we scrapped the idea of that drive this year. I was hoping to have breakfast in the French Quarter. But, my husband agreed we'll make it a trip one day. He's already been there twice so he's not as eager as I am. Glad to hear you survived that horrible hurricane!!
