This old ancient boomer is against illegal immigration as well. Against reparations and against paying off anyone’s college loans. There are a lot of illegal aliens in the US and not all of them came from Mexico. They come here to go to school or to visit and never go back. Some of my best friends immigrated legally from Mexico & became citizens. What you have got to face is that us oldies had to learn to use our words to get our point across to the leftists. We don’t generalize, because they did and if we did they lambasted us. It was a form of Stockholm syndrome, you didn’t bring up your political beliefs because the friends, family, co-workers would treat you different once they realized you were politically right. Everyone made fun of the right, just watch the movies, we were the butt of all the jokes. Programing. So you didn’t always share views until you were confident of how the person would take it.
