In the past year and a half, ive known 2 people that were really sick with something and one mildly sick with something they called Covid.
Not really a reason to shut down. Maybe what ive seen is rare.
What has been your personal observations and experiences?
My sister got "covid" at the beginning of the whole ordeal - she had a mild cough and few symptoms. She stayed in her extra bedroom away from her husband and adult daughter. Neither got sick at all. She recovered fine. One of my best friends lost her dad to ventilator problems from covid. I do know he had several underlying health issues and had ignored his diabetes for many years. I have two auto immune diseases and take a weekly injection to keep my immune system suppressed. When covid first came out - I wore the face mask just in case it actually worked - which I doubted even then - and subsequently stopped altogether. I do all the shopping and running for my 80 year old mom and I haven't seen scores of sick people. I wonder why the homeless aren't dead in the streets tho lol. Edit: my son called me Wed with the news that one of his employees has covid - coughing etc and Dr tested covid positive. My son has taken 2 covid tests - one said positive and one negative - says he feels fine and no one else in his company has tested positive or is ill.
