Which Indians / native Americans demanded this?
Usually it is racist white supremacists who erase them.
The official narrative is that the team's management has had discussions with members of "native American tribes" but it's funny how that is never specified. Talk about racist - they just lump all the native Americans under one category, as if they don't have their own sects like Cherokee and Iroquois. No doubt in my mind this is the work of a bunch of white globalist leftist fucks.
Native Americans are losers. Prove me wrong.
All the fans that attend the Indians games should wear chief wahoo t-shirts, and hang huge chief wahoo banners all over the stadium so on every tv shot the image can be seen.
Where do you live? Cleveland's poverty is still outdone by Detroit by virtue of all the websites I just looked that up on, but no doubt it's in the top 5 of every one of them. The roads are horrible, that's true - every season without snow is "orange barrel season" yet the roads still suck. The violent crime rate is why I carry (legally of course). You make very good points. And for me, it sucks to be in an area that is basically the laughing stock of the fucking country right now. Thankfully I don't live in Cleveland, but rather one of the suburbs, but I do work downtown and my suburb is considered part of the "greater Cleveland area".
I'm really pissed. This has been an image that has resounded with "home" for me, having grown up in the Cleveland area and having been an Indians fan my whole life. I've been to so many games, I've taken my kids to their games, I've worn their shirts proudly and rooted them on. I was watching the final playoff game at a bar in 1997 when the final play resulted in their loss and the whole bar, all at once in unison, said "SHIT!" They've killed a tradition.
I'm originally from Cleveland, now i live in a significantly more rural area of northern Ohio. I still call the stadium the Jake.
I'm trying to remember if this was when Jose Mesa blew the save, and faced a lot of ridicule from Vizquel.
Was feeling really emotional about this yesterday. I want it to be 1997 at the Jake again. I’ll never be a Cleveland fan ever again. So long MLB.
Let’s give the Indians back to the Indians. Let’s give 2020-2021 back to the Indians too while we’re at it...
There will always be Major League.
Hell yeah! With the original stadium, no less. That movie is cool to me because it shows the Cleveland sky line before the Key Tower was built; when the Terminal Tower was the tallest building. My son is always in awe when he sees it, it's so cute - like, "how can it be???"
