I saw a bunch of them, multiple times, last summer. And heard a few more that I didn't go out to see. But no ospreys in my area lately. One thing that gets my attention is that they, and the helicopters, fly at relatively low altitudes. I'm not good at identifying specific craft, but I've seen a mix of transport choppers in both Marine green and also light grey, smaller 2-4 seater greys, and attack helicopters on occasion, sometimes with those long sensor poles, sometimes without. I've never seen them at all, except lately.
I imagine all the moneyed areas of LA are where the bad actors are holed up. CCP, clown-facilitated icons of entertainment, gov't traitors... it's nice to see the military out.

FYI the long pole you referred to as a 'sensor' pole is actually a refueling boom
