My girlfriend is a phlebotomist at the VA. All the phlebotomist at her location have not received the vaccine. During Covid the doctors who work at the VA were allowed to stay home and do telehealth and still received hazard pay. Meanwhile she was seeing between 60 to 80 patients a day. I guess the veterans they go to the VA in my area will now have to hope and pray that the med techs or the MSAs can do the job.
As a sidenote I know a guy who worked as a pharmaceutical rep for over 30 years one of the top performers in his company. He was told he needed a vaccine by last Monday and smartly for him, he has no job now. He told me one of his doctor friends was being paid $50,000 stipend quarterly if he had a 50% patient vaccination rate. If he achieves 70% vaccination rate, that same doctor will receive 120,000 quarterly
