You also have the option to not be in CA anymore. Family/friends will understand (or they won’t), and a place is just place. Just find a place that is not as screwed as CA has yet to be.

Problem is CA pays so well…I make about $75K/yr, the same exact job in other states would be $35-45K/yr. Sure housing, gas, and taxes are way cheaper but I gots student loans man…
