Similarly, I think a good counter-response to any CRT claim is, “Do you ever stop whining?”
Think about the leftist at the BBQ or house party. Some subject comes up and they go off on how problematic and racist and blah blah blah it is. Aunt Jemima, Cleveland Indians, Tom Brady, the Nationap Anthem, a statue of George Washington, whatever it is. Just say, “Man, do you ever stop whining?”
We tend to argue against them with logic and reason and facts. We mount an actual defense. But somehow that doesn’t seem to work. The person still steers the conversation and all we’re doing is defending defending defending.
“Do you ever stop whining?” could be more effective because it is dismissive. Also it is true. If it’s not Aunt Jemima, it’s Uncle Ben. If it’s not Uncle Ben, it’s Dr. Seuss. If it’s not Dr. Seuss, it’s something else. And we know and they know it so to frame them as just a chronic whiner really boxes them in. And it also undermines their virtue signalling and makes them just look annoying and immature. Nobody likes whiners. And what are they going to do? Whine harder? To counter they have to act more chill. “No man, I don’t really care that much about Dr. Seuss.”
Also a lot of leftist bullshit is just a way (in their eyes) to look cool. To be like their favorite pedophile celebrity. So reducing them to a “whiner” really reduces the cool factor. Whining isn’t cool.
