Texas used to have the only Dr. Pepper plant that used real sugar instead of corn syrup as a sweetener. Not sure if it's still true but that's what I thought of when I heard that. Just like asking for salsa, supposed to make them more "Texas-sy". They think it makes them more relatable, like Hillary talking about hot-sauce to black people. You know, because they don't even try to talk to people, they talk to 'Groups' of people.
