Last couple days, maybe a week now my phone has been turning bluetooth on by itself. I do not use bluetooth.its always off.
I noticed it was back on for like the 5th time yesterday when i went to bed. I shut it off for tge 5th time. Sure as shit, this morning its turned on again.
I knew i shouldnt have bought the foil hat from the crackhead at walmart.
This is a new development. I havent downloaded apps as i dont really have a need for anything factory installed on the phone.
Ill have to try to catching it when it turns itself on again and see whats up.
An update to a pre-installed app could have started it. One of the google ones would be my guess.
Google maps syncs with "android auto" (think thats the current name, they have changed it a few times and added new settings over the years). Worth going through them every now and then.
I noticed there are now settings for turning on bluetooth automatically when youre in your car (probably assumes this from your location and/or traveling speed).
Spotify is also another that likes to switch it on. Android phones have many location and privacy settings (including BT settings) hidden in multiple places and apps now. And these all change with new updates. Its a time consuming mess to even find them all, possibly by design.
Got to the point where I just leave BT on now. BT isnt a huge risk imo as it has a fairly short range. Eats your battery a bit though.
