The variant is easily identified: it has to do with the angled appearance [forming a triangle] of the hands and arms when a sufferer is flailing about in the final throes of removing the nasal swab. Just wait until the robot chicken variant comes out. They'll call it Epsilon because they don't want to offend The Borg.
