Is this because natural immunity is better or just how the numbers are going to work out anyway? If the percentage of people who have been vaccinated is much greater than the number who have contracted COVID and recovered, then would we expect this same result, just based on the mathematics?
I believe that natural immunity is better and has been my belief all my life. I'm therefore not planning to get vaccinated. I would much rather catch the virus and recover. While I'm unsure whether these Israel numbers are meaningful we have a major pharmaceutical abandoning its vaccine because they determined natural immunity was better than the response from being vaccinated.
Not there (70) but close enough. Not sure what vaccinations I received as a child. My kids even had chicken pox. In fact I remember families wanting to send their kids to play with kids that had chicken pox so their kids would get it.
I only remember getting the flu once, when I was a teenager I think. I've never had a flu vaccine so not sure if my natural immunity has protected me these many decades or whether it's likely to not catch the flu over several decades.

If you are approaching my age (70) ask yourself how many times you got measles, chicken pox, rubella or mumps (assuming that you weren't vaccinated)?

I am 73 and have never had a flu shot, much as you my friend.
Our blood will be needed when the fighting is done and the Lord is here, 70 years of immunity must count for something.
Exactly, I have said it all along.
