I know this isn’t Maury, yeah yeah. I feel so disconnected from my friends and family because I feel like I know too much. Ami I wrong, am I right? I have no idea, but obviously I wouldn’t be so adamantly stubborn if I felt I was wrong. Why do I feel like the only sane person in a world of fucking retards
P.S. Not giving a shit about saying the word “retard” - I get it, kids can’t help it, I don’t care, it’s a colloquialism
I am not fluent in Japanese and this involves some vocabulary I am not familiar with, but I can say that the subtitles are not BS. I'll have to ask around because I do not recognize this anime. I would say it is from the '90s, not "13 years ago" for a few reasons. First is that it appears to be cel animation, and nearly everything has been computer-assisted animated for the past 20 years. One of the girls is Kyouko, which in the '90s was a standard name, but such names are now outdated as "trendier" names are more favored these days. Lastly, this anime actually appears interesting to watch, whereas the vast majority of anime these days are stupid and dull.
Thanks for the perspective! I think Season 3 of Shingeki no Kyojin offers a lot of insight on government conspiracy. I encourage anyone to watch or read. Maybe you know already.
While I have you, how are things since Abe’s departure?
I showed that unnamed anime to my wife and she said that it's pretty much what is going on in the USA, going door-to-door. Eventually it will begin here too. I'm trying not to doom here, but this vaccine crap needs to stop. Dr. Rand Paul has the evidence of Fauci's gain of function crap, but nothing's happening. As for Shingeki, it was a bit too gruesome and the characters just bickered with each other constantly. We couldn't watch past the 2nd episode. I didn't even now the 2nd season was out yet. As for Abe, too many Q frens thought he was a white hat. The new guy Suga (who looks like Yoda from Empire Strikes Back) is just a mild-mannered puppet, just like Biden. At least Abe had some semblance of a personality.
Again thank you for the perspective. I’ve never been to Japan!
And yup it sounds like the door-to-door system for sure. Right now it’s pathetic, but as they continue to scapegoat us it could ramp up. I just remember the show of brute force during Waco.
You’re right about the whining in SNK. It’s on purpose though to show maturation of the characters as events unfold. You’re meant to be annoyed by it as you see the characters become more measured and able to see shades of gray. It gets a lot better and balanced. I’d encourage you to watch until Episode 5 and see if that hooks you. It’s one of those shows that has huge shifts in tone between each arc.
The main character also exemplifies many of our views from the start. Refusing to be cattle. Valuing freedom over safety. He’s whiny in the beginning, but he’s not wrong. Mini Spoiler: Vaccines and Sterilization make an appearance in Season 4.
If I had to briefly categorize:
Season 1: Action/Gore
Season 2: Mystery
Season 3: Political Thriller
Season 4: War
Wow. Vaccines and sterilization? Interesting. The show was just a bit too grotesque for us. My wife loves horror, but she hates zombie movies. Anything involving people getting eaten (although sharks and lions and such don't count). So I captured that vaccination anime and tried uploading it to YouTube (BigPharmaTube) and it gave me a copyright claim for an anime called Devilman Lady (or Devil Lady in the US) by Go Nagai. I'm familiar with Devilman. I uploaded it instead to my Odysee channel.
