Nice fable. This is spiritual warfare manifested in the senses realm. God's flood got rid of compromised humans (unbelievers) it didn't get rid of the devil. He is the common denominator. Nature isn't a spiritual being God is. Nature doesn't determine what happens God does. God set nature on place so its his doing.
