If you haven't seen his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, I recommend it for the sole purpose of seeing Miles absolute grace under pressure and ridicule. Kimmel is disgusting the entire interview, completely insulting, but Mike handles it would such class. Definitely Christ like in his way of not attacking or making a scene.
Agreed, but I wonder how often people use the money lender scene to justify harsh words or actions when Jesus only did that... How many times, and in which situations?
The context of the temple, poor worshippers unable to worship their God, fellow countrymen extorting fellow Jews, and tarnishing the sacrifice --those are extremely big deals. Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Jeremiah, all discuss those issues at length.
On the other hand, a non-believer insulting Jesus wasn't something He really seemed concerned about. The Bible, specifically Ephesians, discussed the importance of being gentle, tender, and kind. And Jesus says they will know you are my followers by how you love one another.
Go read the comments on Mike's video: everyone is touched by Mike's grace! And they are disgusted with Jimmeys actions! And Mike didn't fire one negative response back!
