In an abusive relationship, the abuser will insist on their own way in everything, blame you for everything, dangle carrots to get you to do the next thing they want, then yank them away. They separate you from other family members, tell others how bad you are and to avoid you, try to put wedges between you and everyone else, isolate you, hold your kids hostage, refuse to let you have a normal life. It’s emotional abuse. This is what our government and media are doing to us. They are the abusive spouse.
