I have been lucky enough to travel the world for work. Every country and culture has a version of fried chicken. It’s the old dependable when nothing else appears edible.
I used a phone once to show a picture of fried chicken to a roadside vendor in Inner Mongolia and was promptly pointed to a local fried chicken (and sautéed ox) kitchen.
I’m a Florida boy, so I got a soft spot in my heart for greasy spoon, soul food style messy fried chicken.
If the restaurant has dock parking for air boats, or the parking lot fills with black biker clubs on Sunday’s, you know it’s gonna have legit friend chicken.
Nobody.

I love fried chicken..never has cultural appropriation and racial stereotypes made my belly feel so full.
