Anyone know what year this episode was? It was obviously post Bush, I'm just not sure exactly when. Was this from the 2016 new episodes?

Yes from the new episodes. I thought X Files were about to drop some truth bombs when this episode came out And then the next episode was of some lizard shape-shifting shoe salesman or something.
