Look for pre-ww2 histories and commentaries. Woke history is already being taught in 1960.

No idea if this is about the Boers, but Dr Peter Hammond has been recommended by Chris Pinto. Read through the description and you'll probably be convinced to buy it. TBH, I just searched for it and haven't read it yet.
