The thing about travelling at the speed of light is that time for those aboard the craft passes differently from those remaining on a planet.
For example, someone could travel what to them seems like a relatively short time, only to return to their home planet and discover everyone they knew was now old or dead.
That's a possibility but it's never been proven outside of the Earth's orbit. It's a mathematical theory.
Possibility we may have been lied to about this???
