Anyone have a gas mask?

We know (though doctors dont) that paper or cloth masks dont work. But everyone insists you wear one. If anyone has a gas mask I wonder what would be the reaction from people in stores?

I remember an article about a plane passenger wearing a protective hood that really would be rated for prevention of airborne viruses, if I recall, he was forced to remove it or was removed from the plane. I didn't really pay attention because I've never really been concerned. I've lived through quite a few of these epidemics and have never been probe to hysteria. Mostly because I just don't watch TV.
