Y'know, I've been wondering about J. K. Rowling's backstory. In hindsight, I find it a bit hard to believe her story about being a down-on-her-luck, divorced, single mother who just happens to come up with this story that earns her more money than Queen Elizabeth has/had.
According to Wiki, she had been working for Amnesty International. Just for the fun of it, I typed "Amnesty International Scandals" into DDG just to see what I'd get. Well, I wasn't disappointed:
I believe there are theories it was ghost written by one of the government news agencies in London at the time,
Its a bit hard to find info as even just general comments questioning her books will get deleted.
But I remember them talking about the coincidences between the frequent appearences of buildings that appeared right outside (like the train station) or near their building (whatever building the ministry of magic is),
Its something worth looking into, I agree, specially when you get interviews with JK Rowling where it seems like she doesnt even remember what she wrote..
At the time I read the series, I wasn't aware that there was a lot of symbolism in the books. Now that I've gotten deeper into decoding stuff, I'd like to go back and read the books with fresh eyes.
I was in Edinburgh at one point and saw one of the places she supposedly wrote the books. There's a cemetery nearby where it is said she got the names for some of the characters. I roamed around in this cemetery and it is true. One of the names I remember finding, off the top of my head, is McGonagal.
Speaking of Harry Potter.
A story about a secret group of people who use magic to control and fool "muggles" and are very obsessed with bloodlines...
Or am I just seeing things now because I'm paranoid?
