Here is an article on multiple instances of people who made cutting edge discoveries but were mocked because what they discovered was against the consensus at the time. Science may be impartial in theory but the people who think they practice are not and will hold on to insane notions just to avoid having to change their way of thinking. Some of these examples seem reminiscent of some people's irrational attachment to the murder jab.
My favorite example is "Ignaz Semmelweis". Here is a quote form the article (he discovered that instruments should be disinfected before doing surgery and hands should be washed, something that shouldn't even be controversial unlike "climate change" from which a select group of people derive their power and make a lot of their money):
The rejection drove him to alcoholism, depression, and isolation. He even penned several letters lashing out at his critics, noting that the doctors who rejected his work were “irresponsible murderers” and “ignoramuses.” Toward the end of his life, he was sent to a mental asylum, where he died forgotten by his peers. Decades later, germ theory immerged with the likes of Louis Pasteur and Joseph Lister practicing medicine with hygienic procedures, proving that Semmelweis’ idea indeed saved lives.'
yo i remember this. and its said he was religious/Christian and he got the idea of washing hands from the old testament in the bible...i think its Leviticus that says you have to wash your hands in moving water after handling a sick patient. could be another guy though because i thought this guy was American.
