You may be right about a declass turning like that. However, as one of those who dug into that for about 10 years, and was a factor in my decision to go into engineering, as far as that goes "we have it all" definitely applies based off the case i had put together back then.
A factor only because the default argument was always "so you, a nobody knows more than NIST?" my response: "They have to know they are lying for that reason. Even I, a nobody can figure out how they lied."
The final push was my wife to be, telling me that I was smart enough and didnt want to see me broken down by 50.
I had to game the system so I could work at least part time in trades and take every class that was available online before setting foot in school. Literally finished at zero dollars back up between us. The only real part I missed out on was the deeper connections.
