First, in 2002 you were among a surprisingly rare breed. What triggered it?
No joke, a few times talking to friends about 911 being inside job, before 2004, literally had people try to start fights with me because "they would never do that."
Sorry for being a one-upper; I knew it was an inside job at around 6pm local time that day. I've told the story before, got woke up by a call from a friend telling me to check out the crazy shit in New York, told him that "it was either a response for US actions in the middle east, or if they have a suspect before the dust settles it means they did it themselves." And around 6pm was when I first saw Bin Laden's face.
My dad was the same way. I'll never forget when he saw on the news the same day that they blamed bin Laden, my dad remarked "Bush is just finishing what his dad started."
I knew my dad believed it was an inside job. Unfortunately, it took me until 2006 or so when I was going through the internet and came across some videos debunking 9/11. I figured it out then.
I remember how they named Bin Laden shortly after and how surprised I was that they'd point to a culprit so quickly. "Wow, our intel is so efficient I wonder how the terrorists actually pulled off this attack." Those were my thoughts, no joke.
Reading about 9/11 being an inside job last November is when I finally dropped the cognitive dissonance.

Please tell me only now is it safe to reveal what you have known, all along.

Is your dad still around today?
Sorry I am replying a few days late. I was offline and enjoying the great outdoors.
Yes, he is very much around and still kicking!
