New South Wales ( a state) is being even more draconian than Victoria (another state).
Not sure what they are doing in NSW, but here, these are the conditions:
Seven day lockdown announced
The Victorian Government has announced that Victoria will enter a state-wide lockdown for seven days from 8:00pm, Thursday 5 August.
There are only five reasons to leave home:
getting the food and the supplies you need
exercising for up to two hours
care or caregiving
authorised work or education if you can’t do it from home
getting vaccinated at the nearest possible location.
The Victorian Government has announced a $400 million package, jointly funded by the Commonwealth Government, that will provide automatic payments to almost 100,000 eligible businesses in Victoria, including sole traders. Further hardship funds will be made available to eligible businesses that do not qualify for existing programs. More information will be available at business.vic.gov.au.
not supposed to travel more than 5km from your house.
They issued a WHOLE bunch of fines for not masking, travelling more than 5km, etc last year, but wiped all the unpaid ones at the end of the year.
Why? because they know they would not stand up in court.
